Jasper Knight

Central Station (2008)

225cm x 150cm
Enamel, masonite, plywood, perspex and copper on board

I like Jasper Knights work. I appreciate the fact that he explores recycled materials and paints on textured surfaces and perspex. The way in which he applies the enamel in a quick and spontaneous manner also gives a fresh and lively effect. I find that he doesn't overly think stuff though, nor overly work his "canvas". The thought process of the artist shouldn't be visibly apparent to the viewer, and Jasper succeed at achieving this.
